— The story
we count
hours, not
threads.
yfine began in a small studio with a single spool of cotton cord and an afternoon's worth of patience. That afternoon turned into a year. The year turned into twenty-two pieces, each one still made by hand, each one still made slowly.
We don't release them in drops. We release them when they're ready. A large macramé wall hanging takes around twenty hours of focused knotting; the same maker returns each morning until it's done. We'd rather make one good piece than five rushed ones.
The cotton is natural, undyed, and sourced from a mill we've worked with for years. The wood is local. The room we work in is small. We like it that way.
Thank you for being here. We hope you find a piece that knows your room.
